While I was answering that email...

At least the toothpaste and toothbrush were used ONLY on the mirror (and not the wall...).

That's a fun experiment! Did the toothpaste make the mirror sparkle? I use vinegar, but I bet toothpaste left the room smelling a lot mintier.

Ha! It's true, the room did smell fresh! I think we've re-washed the mirror about 5 times now and there's still toothpaste smears on it. They were generous in their application technique.

Oh no, was it THAT e-mail to me?
At least it happened in your house. I once picked up my girls (then 6 and four) from a play date, and when the other mom went to get to kids, she was shocked: they had decorated all the windows in her bedroom - with toothpaste! And hid dad's binders - with tooth-pasty fingers. We are still friends...but play dates did not happen for a while.
Love your story and the picture!

Oh man, this story has reminded me of some of my more messy/destructive playdates! I broke a lamp at a friend's house once while we were making a "tent." I still feel bad about it 33 years later!
